March is Women’s History Month!

The National Women’s History Alliance selects a theme for Women’s History Month each year. “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope” is the theme for 2022, and it is “both a tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history.”

Women’s History Month had its origins in 1981, when Congress passed a resolution authorizing and requesting the President to proclaim the week of March 7, 1982 as Women’s History Week. The following joint resolutions were passed for subsequent years, and in 1987, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which designated the month of March 1987 as “Women’s History Month.”

The National Women’s History Project is responsible for petitioning Congress to make this happen, and their goal is to recognize and celebrate the diverse and historic accomplishments of women by providing information and educational materials and programs.

We love that this celebration was so grassroots, and grew out of a desire to honor the women who have truly changed our world for the better.

We would love to hear about your outsourcing needs and tell you more about what we do. Let's talk.
